Default 50 NL: QQ vs flush turn

Full Tilt $50 NL

Villain is large stack with @ 110 in SB, and has been very active.

Hero $45, is UTG with Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero raises to $2.00, villain in SB calls. Pot - $4.50

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
villain checks, Hero bets $5.00, villain calls. Pot - $14.50

Turn: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
villain donks $4.75, Hero calls. Pot - $24

River: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
villain bets $12.75, Hero???

I called on turn with my Q high flush draw, not sure if I was beaten already. When he bets 1/2 pot again on river, do I confidently lay this down? How should I have played turn? I not sure, but would a shove on turn have been a better play? Comments on any street appreciated.

Thank you.

this seems fine. since you mentioned villain had been very active if you were worried about being bluffed here a small raise on the turn would do the trick. any further aggression and its an easy fold. most of the time villain will just call the turn and check the river either looking for a c/r with the nuts or a cheap showdown with something smaller.

this hand seems fine though imo. you don't beat much on the river. if villain bluffs a lot you will find a much better spot than this river to get some monies off him.

I would raise turn, he doesn't like his hand that much or just picked up a flush draw himself.

As played, active doesn't quite say enough. If he is super aggro I would consider calling but usually I would sigh and lay it down.

I agree with the previous poster. Raise turn and take a free showdown regardless of card.

sorry - don't have PT or anything to provide much that way - he wasn't super-aggro, but had been involved in a number of pots, and showed down a number of marginal holdings.

If I raise the turn, how much? to $12, 15 or so? What if he shoves then? I don't have much left behind at that point...only like, 22 left with a 66 pot if he shoves. I didn't think I could fold if he shoved, so I just called, thats why I thought shoving turn would've been best play?

Yeah, I would probably make it like 13.
You should have about 25 left which is over half what you started with and I think you could fold to a shove. If he happened to take this line I doubt you are ahead, especially if he hasn't appeared to be overly aggressive.

If he calls then and we make the flush I wouldn't be too confident. If he checks I would just check behind, as I doubt we are getting value out of a worse hand and he could try a c/r here since you have shown so much aggression at this point.
If he shoves I would have to fold, almost regardless of river.

If he called turn raise and then bet into the river I still think we are probably beat unless its ridiculous block bet like turn again.

so, I should have raised turn, and folded to a shove, right. As played, do you call river?

No, I can't see him doing this very often with anything we beat.
He probably has a flush already or 2pair. Really bad bluff if that is what he's doing.
