problem with PostgreSQL service

a lot of the time my PT or PAHud "can't connect to the database". its always solved by me going into my services, stopping the PostgreSQL service, and restarting it.

any thoughts on a fix for this? i'm using vista.

Is this happening randomly? Or after a reboot?

I'm using Vista as well, and it occasionally happens after a reboot. Seems like the PGSQL service just isn't starting up or something.

It's probably an issue with UAC in Vista. I had similar issues with mysql on Vista, so I ended up putting an old computer back together, installing Unbuntu and running mysql and postgresql on that.
