just shove flop, only a 1/2 pot bet left and plenty of draws out there

You were going to play the rest of the hand OOP, you probably should have opened for more.

You may even push the 44 out and take some blinds.

With his stack size id definately shove the flop and expect to be ahead a good percentage of the time. Just bad luck.
