Default NL100: Slowplay with set on dry texture?

SB: $117.71
Hero (BB): $89

MP: $127.50
CO: $139.75

3 folds, BTN raises to $2, SB calls $1.50, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($6) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB bets $3, Hero raises to $13.50, BTN folds, SB raises to $24

Call or push?

I think that he AQ+ or a set here, not a draw because of his AF and preflop stats. So a freecard will never hurt if we assume that. If we call, we can hope he bets at turn. I think it is most profitable to slowplay this until turn (agree?), but my question is if its smart to slowplay in situations where

-i've decided that im committed
-i'm not afraid of a freecard
-its likely that he have hit the texture
-villain 3betted oop

Until this situation, I've allways thougt that I shouldnt slowplay unless i've hit the texture so hard that he rarely have hit (ie. AK on a AAK texture), this is not a such situation, so I shouldnt slowplay?

I think calling and pushing over a turn bet is fine here.

This is fine to not push on this flop, it's dry as the Sahara. On the turn just get it all in.

4-bet to $34.50. That'll show him. Or just call and get it in on the turn, but come on... how fun is that?

Had you slowplayed with A8 or 85 here?

Those hands are way more vulnerable to top pair type hands, so I would be way less likely to slowplay them.

With these stacks I'd call and get the rest in on the turn.

call so he feels he is ahead. hopefully a call will get him to bet out on turn, then u can push. pushing here folds the hands u want him to call with imo, like aq ak, and a stubborn kk, qq
