Default Poker in Foxwoods, Atlantic City

Went to Mohegan Sun a while ago and found out there were no poker games at all and just played roulette.

To people who go to AC and Foxwoods to play cash games, do they offer every cash game ? I know they have no limit holdem and limit holdem but do they also have games like Omaha hi low, 7 card stud, and 7 card stud hi low and Razz/triple draw etc? What limits do they offer ranging from and are these games pretty soft?

Also, do the no limit games like 1/2 and 2/5 have max buyins because i heard some casinos allow a max of 100 into a 1/2 game.

thanks.

FW used to have 100 max, now its 300 for 1/2, 500 for 2/5.

I'm pretty sure they spread all those games except razz fairly regularly, but I've never played them so I'm not sure. Mixed games in general are pretty common, probably have the most going outside of california (although I've never been to the LA/cali cardrooms).

Well i live in new york and i know foxwoods and AC is my only options since i dont live near Vegas.

Note, i am a low limit player online. I only play 50NL online. Would i have a hard time winning 1/2 no limit and 2/5 no limit there? As for limit, I only play 1/2 limit online.

Would i get crushed in AC and Foxwoods even though i heard live players at these low limits are just terrible and have no clue what they're doing?

The single biggest danger for online players in live games is boredom. After 2 hours TPBK can look good for 300BB

That said if you are winning online and play your A-game you willdo very well.

Well i am kinda loose in casinos. Whereas online I am a nit.
Is there anyone else like this? Also, is there usually a waiting list in these pokerrooms or do i have to reserve a spot first? I dont want to get there and have to wait 4 hrs to get into a 1/2 no limit game.

Thanks.

Can only speak for Foxwoods: getting into a 1-2 NL game usually doesn't take too long. There are always lots of tables spread and people go busto a lot.

Around two months ago, I got on the 1/2 NL board at 1 PM on Saturday afternoon. I was 125th on the list, and got a seat 5 hours later.

OP, go to AC. The waitlist at Foxwoods can be brutal at times and however rare those times are there's nothing you can do since there's nowhere else to go. In AC you can go to the Borgata, Taj, or Trop and if you're unlucky and they're busy, you can always go somewhere else.

Plus AC >>>>>>> Foxwoods.

If you can beat 50NL online you could prob beat up to 5/10 NL at foxwoods in your sleep IMO. esp on weekends. fighting boredom is prob biggest thing you will have to combat not the skill of your oponents.

Foxwoods has O/8 (2/4, 4/8, 5/10 kill at $100 scoop, and occaisionally higher or a 15/30 HOE.

The also usually have a list for HORSE. I've seen 2/4 and 5/10, and sometimes they can get a stud/8 game going.

But the vast majority of the tables are NLHE, stud and LHE.

Foxwoods also has cash SNGs $100 - $500 buy-in.

FYI, when Mohegan finishes its 3rd casino, scheduled for next spring, they will once again have poker.
