No you don't come off like a prick, I agree there a good handful of dealers at CP that are pricks...especially the guy with the shades he just looks like a prick and yep he is. a buck tip isn't good enuf for him in a huge pot and next hand he chucks cards at me and deliberately causes one to flip and of course its an A. I dont even know if he still works there. My favorite dealer is Canadian Larry hes always upbeat and appreciates tips immensely.

Yeah, Canadian Larry is awesome. I know exactly who you're talking about, but at first I thought you were talking about purple glasses Jesse and I was like wtf? That's Mike. I can count how many dealers at CP I don't like on one hand. He is one of them.

If anything, CP doesn't suffer at all because of that handful. They have one of the best reputations in the business, afaik.

[/ QUOTE ]

If Canadian Larry is the dealer I'm thinking of, he is very cool.

Overall, I really like playing at canterbury. Always seems to be run well when I'm there.

I dont mind the place, but i dont like a lot of the dealers there.

as an example,

I was playing 3 6 or 4 8(lol micros) and i get 9 5 off in the bb checks to me, we see a flop and i flop two pair, and turn a boat(ship the small pot!)

I give the dealer a 2 dollar tip and he looks at me and mutters under his breath "i gave you a full house..." obviously not satisfied with my generosity.

I decided to be a gentlemen about it and not say anything and luckily he rotated to the next table 5 minutes later.

I also have a couple of friends that work in the cage and we have gotten into discussions about hitting the jackpot and how much we would tip the dealer. I figured 4 or 500 would be enough, but i guess a lot of the dealers are EXPECTING 2 to 3 grand and anything less is an insult.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this during days, maybe? CP is my home room and I just have never seen any of this in hundreds of hours of play.

FWIW, the BBJ is so big there you should be tipping like a grand on an average one. But hey, it certainly ain't 2 or 3.

[/ QUOTE ]

I tip no more than 2 dollars every pot and the dealers are super cool to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

maybe i come off as a prick?

this incident was one dealer and most have been extremely courteous. I would say there are about 4 that i personally do not like as dealers

Lol, I know exactly who you are referring to and he still works there.

[/ QUOTE ]

He is indeed an arrogant [censored] and he is not very good at his job. IMO one of the lesser dealers at CP. You can tell that he is not very athletic/coordinated by watching him pitch the cards. It is almost as if he is aiming them. My buddy once tipped him an orange chip (50 cents) after stealing the blinds in a 4/8 game. Mike tossed it back and told him that he doesn't take orange chips. I encourage everyone at CP to tip him TWO orange chips instead of a blue one to see if he tosses them back.

The dealers at CP are easily the best I have encountered. This guy is the only one that I cannot stand.

LOL, I cant believe this made NVG. It was the infamous gennady. I talked to him this morning and he said he was drunk. He is banned until further review. Thats usually like 3-6 months.

[/ QUOTE ]

How do you get unbanned from Casinos?

Jesse and Canadian Larry very good.

Vang is the best, or was a couple of years ago when I used to play there a lot.

Can't remember the guy with shaky hands who deals about 20 hand an hour's name, but that's a down you want to walk during.

I know this wasn't earth shattering, but it was amusing to me as I had a front row seat near gennady and mitch, and I was bored.

Anyway there was two points I meant to make in the original post. One is that CP is fair in the enforcement of their rules no matter who you are. Second, if you are in a market where there (until a year from now) is only one major poker room and several rinky dink 'other' poker rooms, how smart are these guys to break the rules at CP and then smart off?
