Default cheap white wine -review

Last night I decided to have some wine and had the following four bottles of Chardonnay. Info as follows:

Barefoot Cellars - $6.99
http://www.barefootwine.com/californ...hardonnay.html

It was surprisingly good for $7. It was voted a 'best buy' at a competition in Chicago and if you look at their site, you'll see its won some other awards. Not too strong of a taste; a good, cheap wine that you can buy several bottles of to just have around if you want a few cold glasses on a hot day.

Jacob's Creek - $7.99
Also a pretty good find for $8. A light, more crispy taste than the Barefoot. I'll be getting more of this in the future.

Forest Glen - $9.99
Ugh. That says enough. I was disappointed by this as it was supposed to be a great find. Tasted almost metallic. Too bad.

Edna Valley - $14.99
I'm a big fan of this wine. Its not too light, somewhat "oakey", but not overpowering. A great find, and worth having a couple bottles chilling in the fridge.

And to get this over with, yes I like sex with men, and no I am not posting this in the Quiet Zone. I don't want to know what books/movies/poems/dreams/flowers/cats/clouds this makes me think of...

Nice review. I'm punchy and tired so I've added some reviews of my own.

Franzia Cabernet Sauvignon - 1.99

When one thinks of a tasty boxed beverage, this stunning Cab comes to mind. Voted "best buy" in a taste-off on the south side of Chicago, this wine may be even too distinct for the most discerning taster. Notable traces include cardboard and rust.

Hill Valley (1985)- 88.00

Great Scot, what a wine! This delicious light-brown beverage will send your taste buds to the past and back. Triple-distilled through our unique flux-brewing method , you can expect only the best in plutonium core wine. At 88 miles, er, dollars per box, I'll certainly be getting more of this in the past AND future.

Wow, I need to go sleep.

Interesting, I also happened to drink some cheap white wine last night:

HRM Rex-Goliath Giant 47 Pound Rooster Chardonnay

Not at all oaky, somewhat dry, very drinkable. I was grilling shrimp so it went perfectly. I think it was $6.99 on sale at Gelson's.

How dare you insult my Franzia. How many wines can you pull the plastic bag out of the box, and float it around a swimming pool to drink out of.
