Re: $55 trips but flush appears on river
I am not really affraid of the flush / str8 here as his most likely hands are Ax or 2 pairs, imo, so I think you can safely value bet.
If you check and he has the flush, you'll have to call his bet anyway as the odds will be too good for your set. |

i'd check behind/call a bet.
and i'd raise the flop to like 500. |

Re: $55 trips but flush appears on river
Hard to put villain on a hand here.
The flop bet smells a bit like a blocking bet trying to see the turn with a draw....with 4 players it's just really a bad bet with a made hand on that board. But on the turn he should have given up his draw I would think. Without a strong read on the villain I would feel too committed to give up my set on the river, but I would probably end up scared of the flush or str and check/call the river hoping to not have to commit too many chips to have a showdown. I would probably bet harder on flop since I have put him on a draw there and make it pot sized on the turn if he had stubbornly stayed in. |

Re: $55 trips but flush appears on river
Just shove. You are going to have to call any bet he makes. He is never checking behind any hand that beats you but he will check behind hands you beat that he would call your shove with.
