Better Wireless Card Than Verizon Wireless
About 2 weeks ago I decided to get the verizon wireless internet card, primarily for poker. Basically, I'm not all that happy with the service (at times very sporadic).
Can anyone recommend me a better wireless card? Cost isn't really an issue. FWIW the verizon card is $60/month |

Might want to post the area you are using it in. The Verizon mobile broadband service in general is awesome, so you must be in a weak signal area.

Re: Better Wireless Card Than Verizon Wireless
I had the verizon card and had bad luck because i live in a low signal area. I swithced to Sprint and have had better luck. A lot does seem to depend on your area. You probably already understand that none of these are going to be as reliable or fast a cable modem.

Sprint card is great. I haven't had a single issue. When we were driving to Vegas I was getting signal in the middle of the rocky mountains

Re: Better Wireless Card Than Verizon Wireless
I was with Verizon EVDO and now have switched to Sprint EVDO REV A. I would recommend sprint over verizon anyday. Just my thoughts as I have used it in at least 7 states and sprint is far and beyond the best option for wireless.

Would you guys recommend only using this as backup then?
I hear colleges tend to have reliable wireless and I can just use the card if traveling or main internet goes down. |

60 dollars a month is that unlimited! How does that work? [/ QUOTE ] I originally had Verizon and loved it, but they kicked me off when I went over 5 GB downloaded one month (I got hooked on Battlestar Galactica and downloaded 2 seasons). So Verizon's deal is essentially "unlimited unless you download too much". I've now switched to Sprint. I haven't noticed any difference in service and their unlimited is really unlimited. |
