Re: 5/10 - Tricky spot with turned flush
I'm not sure I love a turn all-in particularly based on how much he's raising the turn. You're in position, call turn and reassess. If you were OOP, I think a push on the turn would be a strong play. However, you've got position, use it.
I'm trying to think about all the +/- regarding a check behind on the turn as an alternative. Let's imagine you connect with the river in anyway shape or form having checked turn...A v-bet would be appropriate, right? Having checked the turn, I think you're getting a river v-bet called by a wide range from said villain. I also think another problem with pushing here is unless the villain can put you on TT+, he will call your all-in with most 9 hands <97s, obv. any 5 and maybe 77/88...? Which means, IMHO, you're relying on the maths almost always to win you the hand. BUT, you're also relying on a bad player to make a big lay-down, something you should rarely do. If you call min-turn raise, and you don't connect with the river, in position, you can comfortably get away from a villain river bet. Yeah, having thought about this, I like a check behind on the turn; v-bet river if you complete; scoop monies. |

Re: 5/10 - Tricky spot with turned flush
PS - based on the way you played it....
turn: call river (Option 1) if you hit: lead for 3/4 pot (fold to jam if you've only made top pair; call raise if you hit flush [that hasn't double-paired board]) river (Option 2) if you don't hit: c/f |

Re: 5/10 - Tricky spot with turned flush
I `m not a MS player yet, but i like call/ call more. If we push, how many hands we beat will call? He often has a PP here or SC`s (eg 45/56). We shouldlet him bluff at the river. I don`t like a push.

He will call with any 5, and probably any overpair.
