a funny little tidbit for fans of The Wire
i kept seeing this verizon commercial during the game tonight and i couldn't figure out who the dad was and where i knew him from. then it hit me like a bad bribe.....sheeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!
it was state senator clay davis in a bath robe complaining to his kids that he got hosed. he does look a bit like jerome bettis though, i think that is what threw me off. anyone else see this and laugh?? SHEEEEEEEEEEET! J.

I think The Wire is proof of how a good team (probably starting with the director) can really bring up the "game" for everyone involved in a production. I hated merv (the white cop) in Entourage (not just because I didn't like his character) but he is brilliant in the wire.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm in the process of rewatching season one and I just finished watching the episode where Brandon's body is discovered. When Omar later agrees to testify against Bird, Kima says something to the effect of, wont you be afraid of the repercussions? And through his tears he replies matter of factly, "Omar dont scare." Awesomeness on full display there.

I have been loving that Clay Davis add, and am going to accuse you of stealing this observation from my blog because I feel like it.
Wire actors are all over the place. Kima was just on "Cold Case" Marlo is in the new Monica video Namon is in the Mary J./Luda video Wee-Bay, Slim Charles, Cutty were in various videos. Omar was on 6 Degrees. There is nobody named "Merv" on the Wire or Entourage. You're thinking of Herk/Dom.
