Should I turn in my music snob credentials? [/ QUOTE ] Well, Gravediggaz and Tha Alkaholics are rap, and if you don't swing that way, well, not suprising you wouldn't have heard about them. Same goes for Isis, Finntroll, Exodus, and Atheist, except the genre is metal. But man, The Kills? Have you been living under a rock? I'm kinda tired of them now, but you should at least have heard about them. Sheesh! And if you consider yourself a music snob, you really should have heard about both Isis and Exodus. Exodus, along with Metallica, Megadeth, Testament and Slayer, spearheaded the trash wave in the mid-late 80's, and Isis, though often labeled as metal, should be well-known for anyone following the post-rock genre. Which, of course, a music snob would do.. Edit: Props for knowing about Gare Du Nord though! |
