Three AA Hands
I got AA three times today at Commerce.
Hand 1: $540 Shootout NL (Button is a short stact 1000. Button sucks and very LAG) 25/25. MP1 (1500) raises unopened pot to 100. I'm MP2 (2500) call with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. LP calls. Button (who pushed PF once when limps to him) just calls. Blinds fold. 4 players 425 Pot. Flop J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] MP1 checks. Hero bet 250. LP folds. Button moves all-in for 900. MP1 moves all-in for 1400. Hero? Hand 2: 50/100 6 handed. Hero (1800) UTG limps A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Folds to Button (4000) who calls. SB folds. BB checks. Flop K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB checks; Hero checks; Button bets 100; BB calls; Hero? Hand 3: $220 Rebuy Super Satellite. Rebuy ends. Blinds 100/200. BB is very loose aggressive with 2500 Hero (5000) UTG limps A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] LP limps; Button limps. SB limps, BB checks. Flop 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] SB checks; BB moves all-in. Hero? |

Re: Three AA Hands
I'm a low limit donkey, but here's my take (FWIW).
Hand one, I fold. Hand two, I'm calling most of the time and reevaluating the turn, but sometimes (15-20% raising to 450-550, depending on reads). Hand three, this is where my weak-tightness appears. I probably would've raised preflop but I think I'm folding this here. You most likely have LP beat but I could see SB checking a 3 and BB pushing a 3, a 5, or any kind of straight draw. I fold this more times than otherwise. |

Hand 1 fold, hand 2 raise, hand 3 call Stop playing AA fancy [/ QUOTE ] I give this my seal of approval, especially playing AA fancy. Raise in all those situations and reraise preflop in the 1st one |

Re: Three AA Hands
Wow, no wonder you get into trouble with AA NYWalker. These hands just suck.
Agree with nath, now start raising AA. Not raising i hand 1 is particularly bad. |

Re: Three AA Hands
i played in both of these tournaments today. and i am felting all three of these given the play.
however i think slowplaying AA in these tourneys is terrible. you will get plenty of action. however by slowplaying you will get a ton of limpers/multiway pots because thats how these donkeys roll. |

Re: Three AA Hands
Totally agree with everyone about *Not* slow playing AA.
But, here are the situations about the hand: Hand 1: 25/25 2000 starting chips. (Table is super loose. First 10 minutes losts two players in shootout. Button 80% raises when limp to him) Hand 2: I was short stack. Button is very loose aggressive. Hand 3: $220 rebuy super. $200 for T500, 20 minute round. Table was full of short stack actions. |

Re: Three AA Hands
I don't know how many times it's going to take players to get in these awful spots with AA postflop in a limped pot. Before, you stop open limping, hell even a minraise is better.

At that point you aren't hoping to trap a late-position raiser; you're just allowing more people into the pot with increasingly attractive odds. In hand 2 you open-limp UTG with 18 big blinds. Anyone who isn't a total moron will be a little suspicious. Same in hand 3. Just raise and let people decide what to do. |
