Default Wall Street Warriors!

I discovered this program on my cable systems HD channels and am now recording every episode. It's a documentary that follows around wall street traders, hedge fund investors, floor traders, funds of fund managers, etc and shows you how they work and play. Even though it's a little focused on traders, I find it fascinating. They've picked some interesting people to follow, and you can get some insight into their strategies.

Anyone else watch this show?

Anyone have opinions on the main players (esp Tim Sykes)? I've only watched one episode so far.

Man I just came across this show now and it's amazing. I work in the industry as an "investment Representative" for a large discount brokerage in Canada. I love this industry and with the right mix of stocks and poker life is beautiful. BALLIN...Great show

I'm surprised so many people love this show. I find it meh.

BTW, Sykes is an ass who got lucky in the late 90s and whose true colors are beginning to surface.

Most people will probably think he's a wanker. People root for the underdog, and when he makes it, they root for him to fall on his face.

I personally also think he's a wanker, but then I would have though that when he was still in high school. I still wish him well.

He reminds me of all the 20-something year-old wankers that hung around Thames-side bars in London in the early 80s with 50 quid notes hanging out of their shirt pockts, drinking Champagne and sleeping with tarts whose names' they didn't know.

Good look Tim (you bastard)

That is certainly the way he came off looking on the show. I can't imagine anyone who watched it would feel inclined to invest in his hedge fund. He seems like a walking posterboy for "fooled by randomness". That said I wish him no ill will either and time will tell if he's got it or got lucky.
