Jeez... can anything but folding be right, here?
I'm a laggy player. That's my image. this guy just sat down. I've since seen him do some fishy crap that makes me think twice about my decision, but at the time I didnt have any real reads.
It's 1/2 NL, Full Tilt Six max. The villain has 200 I cover. So anyway, I get A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and I raise to 7. SB calls, villain from BB calls. Flop ($21) is A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Check, check to me. I pot for 21, SB folds, villain makes it 65. I fold. |

I'm folding here exactly never against an unknown in a 200nl 6-max game.

Push.
Or call and check-raise all-in on the turn. I kinda like the second optiom. Edit: Well you wouldn't be check-raising all-in on the turn. But I like calling and then raising all-in when he bets the turn. |

This is awful. Call, mostly push the turn if he bets.

Re: Jeez... can anything but folding be right, here?
There is something odd going on at SSNL at the moment: suddenly, TPTK is KING!
Is it just me who has noticed this? On this hand, to those advocating pushing (or felting somewhere) is that a 100%, no doubts, total certainty decision? And presumably the basis for this belief is that the flop raise is AT-AQ often enough for the push to be +EV |

Re: Jeez... can anything but folding be right, here?
well i can see calling and getting it in on the turn against some villians, but how is this "awfull" or a nobrainer ? The board is super dry, and against a semi thinking villian im not to comfortable with TPTK there.
Would like some more thoughts on that too please, because like chomp mentions, felting those hands is advocated quite often here. |

Re: Jeez... can anything but folding be right, here?
Villain's range is pretty wide on the flop. Basically any decent ace; i'd say A9-AK and possibly even wider (this is where a read helps!)
Of course 33 and 66 are in his range, but they make up a small part of it compared to how many Ax hands there are. So I agree and say call flop, push most turns |

Re: Jeez... can anything but folding be right, here?
I don't mind 3 betting all in, but you'll probably be losing a lot of value whenever you do this, and stacking off to a set when you get called. I don't think any of those dominated Aces calls the all in, so if you decide to go with the hand, I'd call and raise the turn all in. Or fold, it's definitely not awful, though I'd have thought a set would slowplay this board also, so I feel a little more comfortable that I'm in the lead.
