Default I guess this is pretty bad?

I probably have a somewhat laggy image although I havent really been getting out of line at this table. This hand happens...

I get A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the SB. Button opens to 7 with like 180 behind.

I decide to just call. I reraise a lot, generally, and will often do so with this hand, but I decided to just call here. Then the big blind shoves for 24 more. The button thinks for a while then calls.

Now here I am, I have a pretty strong hand, and I'd like to get heads up with the BB and have the additional equity from the button's flat call. So I shove. Thoughts?

I hate it. It looks super fishy since there are so little hands that call a button raise than proceed to shove over shortie's push. Your going to get looked up by TT+/AK a lot.

Any reads on button? (I don't care about BB)

It might work out to a weird value bet when you get called by AJ thinking your FOS.

I hate this situation. I hate calling because with the dry sidepot I can't really bluff or make any plays. (And other fools do bluff into the dry sidepot.) And pushing only get's called when you are behind. And you don't win much if button folds (just a bit of dead money).

On further thought pushing is bad. Calling is okay, just play to hit the flop. But folding is quite good as well.

My question, here, and my thinkign with teh shove, is how often is this guy not reraising AA-QQ or AK. I feel like it's not that often...

I really don't think it's worth it. If he calls, you're toast, and if he folds, you gain like 8$ in equity in the other pot. I don't like risking 180 to win 8.

Surprised at the replies so far - its a prefect time to shove imo.

The button would almost always reraise with the hands you're worried about. Any other hand he has - you want him out of the pot. If he calls...meh, you're still at least a flip.

Yeah, I gotta agree, I dont like this. AK would call not raise but could certainly call. I personally would just stew as I folded.

This is just a bad spot to be in. A fold is what I would do. You have to act first here every other round and a shove is getting called by AK, plus big pairs and if he has QQ or KK we have at most 3 outs (assuming button isnt holding and A)

Villain likes his hand to call the AI from BB even with you still to act..I doubt he is folding much here as your play from SB smells very fishy..OTOH a move like this is very image and read dependent..
