Come on... really... you INSTAshove?! Let me just vomit.
Pokerstars six max, 50NL.
Hero has been playing tight aggressive around 23/18 (Im not exactly sure becuase PT is broken and my computer blowz), rarely limping, and opening a reasonable number of pots from position. Villain has been doing some fishy [censored], like betting $1 on flop and turn then open shoving the river. I think he considers himself cute. He's got me covered, but again no stats because PT is messed up. The hand: Hero has $89, villain covers. Folds to hero in cutoff who opens to $2 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and villain calls. All else fold. Flop (~$4.75): 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $4, villain calls. Turn (~$12.75): 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $12, villain instashoves for $71 more. Hero? |

Hero calls and rivers the T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]!
Honestly, this is kind of what you were looking for, if he is really shoving to abuse the table and steal a lot of pots, at least you have a hand to call him, and if he does have a higher flush, then (and this really is a big deal) you do have outs. Todd ps. I would vomit too, while I clicked call. |

Re: Come on... really... you INSTAshove?! Let me just vomit.
i think you have to call this, if villain "thinks he s cute" and hes got stats on you hes pretty sure you are folding here, this really looks like he has a king with a heart and is jacking this pot from you, and shoot even if you are losing you do have two outs like kitarist says

No way in hell I'm folding this to someone who's been known to go all in on late streets frequently when a scare card comes.

Re: Come on... really... you INSTAshove?! Let me just vomit.
What else are you looking for here with 9h8h? you make your draw that you bet on the flop and you're against the guy that will give you the maximum payoff. Do it. If he has a bigger flush, you still have outs, and if he's been doing this a lot, it's probably with air or nearly air.
FYI - I had a villain push on me with two red kings in this spot, and was drawing dead when I called with a jack high flush. It's not always the nuts that pushes in 50NL. |

This sounds like a results oriented post. Such an easy call vs the spaztard you describe.

Re: Come on... really... you INSTAshove?! Let me just vomit.
In OP's defence, it hurts so much to lose in these kinds of spots vs. a m0r0n.
You've waited and waited and bided your time and (hopefully) bit your tongue, then you finally catch a monster that's not the nuts and he shoves, you call, and he's got you beat. Regardless, you should call here. You may be cruxored, but you're probably not. If you are, reload and begin the waiting game again. |
