UTG raises to $7.00, 2 folds, Hero calls $6.00, BB folds

Hero checks, UTG checks

Turn: ($16) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $12.00, Hero raises to $41.00

Villain is Fat Nicky (2p2). I think he is the 22/18 ish type TAG. I saw him raise KQo mp vs utg limper. Don't know much else besides some of his posts here.

Plan is to bomb most rivers.

I am 14/11.

Bluff/Value ? are you seriously trying to get AK to fold ? Are you trying to make him call you down with A high. This looks awful

given your image i think this is OK.

If you were running 27/22 or something i think it's horrible

Not good. Would be good if you had air, but if he folds there's a very good chance you just 'bluffed' him off the worse hand. There's no reason to put him on the K here. He should be betting this turn with any two, and -depending on his UTG range- your 99 is likely well ahead.

I just don't like turning a hand that is so strong into a complete bluff. If I wanted to get fancy, I'd c/c this turn and lead any flush, 2 or 7 river. Otherwise, I check call any river bet unless an ace hit. The reason for donking the 2/7/flush is that he's probably not going to bluff on those cards, and you get some real FE if you do happen to be behind.

i swear to christ i almost 3-bet because a mid pair is the exact type of hand i put you on and didn't think you'd check a set twice.

Why would I lead the turn with a set? Check-raising seems like a much better option. I induce bluffs and semibluffs and build the pot.

Oh, and I think I'm pushing over your 3-bet if you were to do that.
