I was watching a hockey game on TV once and the trivia question was something like "Who was the first African American hockey player to do such and such?" and they gave the answer, and the later had to correct themselves because the "African American" dude they named was actually African Canadian. Oops! What would the PC way to write that question be? "Who was the first hockey player of African descent to do such and such?"

[/ QUOTE ] From greenstien book : "there is no use in benig precise if you don't know what the hell yu are talking about" Race is a made up concept. It is so dumb. Understanding it is impossible.

[/ QUOTE ] I think the most annoying part is that most "African Americans" are several generations removed from Africa and aren't even American (I heard one news report calling Kofi Annan an African American and I thought "American? wtf? he's from Ghana and married to a Swede"). If everyone is "African [country]" just cause they can trace their lineage back to Africa, aren't we all African because that's where humans originated? amirite?
