3/6 - donked into, holding KK
Opponent is 30/12 or so, but it is over only 100 hands. I'm unsure about both flop and turn. What does he have? What would you do?

Re: 3/6 - donked into, holding KK
Im not sure why being bet into on the flop is being "donked into" but I would raise the flop because thats a pretty draw heavy board. Also it puts him to a decision and makes him define his hand.
Although this play also defines your hand, you have to play it this way to protect your overpair. |

Raise flop. If not, turn is fine. Also reload to max buyin

Thanks for the comments.
If I didn't have the king of diamonds, would you still like a flop raise? Or a call + fold on a turned diamond? |

Im not sure why being bet into on the flop is being "donked into" [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, that's just what I call any bet that is bet into the guy with initiative. I know most player's don't use the term the same way I do. My mistake to use it when communicating. |

Re: 3/6 - donked into, holding KK
A6 of diamonds is a very slight favorite/coin flip in this position against your over pair (though not a made hand). You allow second pair, diamond draw to catch trips or a diamond. Put your money in on that flop. The donk bet will most likely fold to a reraise (perhaps putting you on AK, KQ). He has you beat if he reraises you. Find out where your KK is on this flop.

Re: 3/6 - donked into, holding KK
Raising and folding to a push is lighting money on fire vs many players.
Raising and calling a push is lighting money on fire vs some players. Calling and seeing what happens can never be a huge mistake but may not be optimal against certain people. If facing a push will make you vomit then I'd prefer just calling. Having an actual read would help a lot though. |

You used the term correctly.
Raise flop. |

Re: 3/6 - donked into, holding KK
you played your hand fine. raising here against some players is not only unneccessary, it is just stupid. With your limited read, the OP is ok
