In what situations would you say a 1 card draw to a 9 is playable?

[/ QUOTE ]

When it's heads up and you can control the pot size, 9s are playable. Remember that playing a 9 and drawing to a 9 are two different things, and that 98s are different than 96s.

The good news: 9s won't get you in as much trouble as 8s.

I can't tell, are you saying 1-card draws to a 9 are playable hu, or just pat 9's?

[/ QUOTE ]

1-card draws are playable if HU, but play them for small pots.
