guys, i know this is a moderator decision, but i really think a lot of these threads need to be moved and restricted in some way.. given that there are major media outlets looking through this, i feel like we need to have one post stickied or something that lays out ONLY the facts so that they don't go looking through this, post some [censored] in the news about McBill and the guy's name with the picture we have up that is supposedly him, and then have legal action taken on them / us / whatever.

opinions?

That's why they have the cliffnotes at the first post in the thread, which gets updated for every fact revealed.

In the interest of baseless speculation, there's an irc channel now on efnet #apcheats

Feel free to toss around any claims, investigate random accounts, and discuss things there before posting in this thread.

They know its a forum and they aren't going to take everything seriously.

Its basically the reason they still haven't picked up the story.

yeah, well, I talked to MSNBC yesterday and have an ESPN interview this afternoon

[/ QUOTE ]

this is probably dumb for me to ask, but are you serious?

[/ QUOTE ]

missed this earlier. yes, I was interviewed over the phone by one and have a phone call with the other. these are not random poker media no one reads anymore.

IMO at this point it's better to face this head on and try and highlight that nobody else is this bad at security than to crawl under a rock and wait for AP to fix it themselves (lol).

I don't have time now, but I think it's a good idea to inform all of the major media outlets and investigative journalists about this major controversy. If someone has time to start sending email/letters, I'd recommend doing so. I will take some time to do this on the weekend myself, but the more the merrier in terms of journalists being informed and putting pressure on AP to come clean and make things right.

Honestly, MCBILL is no more suspicious after that history post than before. People have already pointed out that non-cashes don't show up, and his $216 cash was a satellite to the main event he won. This happens, what, every couple hours in online rooms across the net? Listen to Apefish and Adanthar, and keep the noise level down.
