Default FTP .5/1 hu NL bad play by me?

I have been playing this guy HU nle for about 2 hrs. we both started at $70. I had been dominating this, playing a REALLY tight game. hadnt bluffed one spot other than some timely c-bets. i staked him with a floped Broadway against his ace. he re-buys with a full buyin, and i widdle that down to $60, with the same strategy. during this time i caught him 5-6 times making 3- barrel bluffs into me.
with the stacks like this:

ME: $189.50
HIM: $119(just re-filled)
( i dont have a hand converter so bare with me)
I was Delt AsQs OTB
i raise to 4( my standard raise)
he RE-raises to $10. he had been doing this quite often to my raises, i uslually gave him credit unless i had a big hand. i call
flop:
QdKsJs
he bets $15, which up until this point has usually ment that he caught nothing and is c betting me. so i re-raise to $50, impling that i hit the king. he stops for a sec runs his clock down the just calls.
turn Jd. he Best $20. here im thinking that maybe he hit two pair or maybe even the str8. it seemed like a pretty weak bet too me so, i re-raise all in. i figure that even if he has a king i got some outs and best case im ahead with my queen. he again runs it all the way down plus his time bank and finally calls. was my push Bad based on my reads? did i miss read his line?

I either push or call flop, I don't see the point of making it $50. Pushing is also good for meta and has tremendous equity vs even the nuts. As played you should probably push turn for his remaining $30.

I probably just move in on flop here. As played I like the turn push.

What's the explanation?

There are definitely cases where raising to $4 is optimal.

There might be situations where raising to $4 is optimal, I don't know, but having it as your standard raise is not good I think. You're in position and want to build a big pot. You're just missing too much value raising to 4.

oh and what are the situations where it's optimal in cash games? sure you aren't thinking of SNGs where if effectives stacks are a certain ammount you can min raise to decrease his resteal value?

so what would be an optimal raise amount in you ropinion then? i feel like if i raise the same amount heads up, it makes my range extremely large, espeacilly when i turn over a checked down 7c5c of clubs.

I'd say it's optimal when you play people who call $4 from the BB as often as they would $3. I do it against extremely loose players, since I know I play better than them postflop, and if they let me play big pots every time I'm in position it's cool with me.

Deeper stacked obviously, and people who like to call light pre and post flop. Tighten up your button raising range, or simply raise more with larger hands.
