My default play with a marginal hand like this is a check-and-see. I don't think the FD board changes my answer.

As played, I think you have to call the raise here. You have a BDSD, 3 7s, and 2 Ts; Even properly discounted you're getting close to the right odds to call... plus there is a some chance you are best right now.

Presumably on the turn, villain's continued aggression makes a FD less likely; you are much more likely to be behind a better hand. Plus with UTG behind, there is the risk that you will be trapped against his raise.

I think the check-and-see would have made things easier on the turn.

The turn fold is only standard if you hate money.

Hero has 12 outs vs 54 and 7 outs vs better Tx. Add to that the fact that button can easly have a flush draw or even some other crap because he is a moron. Standard turn call IMO

Gotta agree on the turn call w/Oink.

Oink, are you calling a river bet ('cuz I am)?

That particular river is an obvious call. I would also call other ivers depending on the action and how many is still in. But as a default I dont think you should ever fold TP for 1 bet when the aggressor is an idiot

I missed the GS and interpreted the stat read as passive because he's playing so many hands. I would feel better about calling him down if I had seen him overplay a draw before.

Flop: U check, UTG check, BTN bets, Hero calls?, UTG calls.

Turn line? Check/fold? Check/call?

In what way is this easier? I think it's more difficult because we have a much better chance of having the best hand in the second scenario. BTN's range is wider. We will make an expensive misstake more often on the turn by playing passive on the flop.

I show this one down. I like the flop bet. If you were SB and there were 5 players, then maybe you can check-and-see.
