I thought it was bad to call 2 barrels with a flush draw oop

If it's a strong draw he played it fine if he didn't feel like playing for double-stacks. Esp. if Hero's going to pay him off anyway.

I mean it's a pretty [censored] spot for villain if he has less than a flush, but I think he has a flush more often than not. I have no idea why people think he plays set/2pr this way on this board.

i did not actually shove the river. i folded.

i ran pretty awful last night and wanted to make sure i didn't leave money on the table pussing out in thin, +ev spots, so i posted this (as i considered playing it) to see if this is one.

AF aside, i think a guy like this is going to play a little funky preflop and postflop with 185BB stacks, OOP, against me. this means sometimes getting to the river in this manner with turned two pairs, flopped or turned sets, 5:spades:6:spades:, and even overpairs. i also doubted that he is calling a ton OOP pre with random suited BS heads up, as well.

to orange: people fold sets/two pair all the time. my line shows continuing strength, with the most when the flush hits. this is effectively never a bluff, since it's not often i get to the river in such a manner that i feel comfortable representing a flush at that point.

to all interested in his reads on my play: i would bet two streets with a flush draw against this sort of opponent, but this spot simply hadn't come up yet. in any case, i think most of his handreading from flop/turn goes out the window when i put 160BBs in on the river.

Dude, the thing is, if he's gonna play these hands like a wimp on a draw-heavy flop and turn, he's unlikely to suddenly wake up and bet when a scare card hits. He'll just c/c again. And if he does bet intending to block, there's still a decent chance he'll say "F it" and call anyway. I see frequent posts like that and have done it myself.

I mean, the parlay here is pretty unlikely, to get here with a hand that he's bet/folding.

Come on man... check/call, check/call, bet. This is a donk with a flush if I've ever seen one.

This is a sick line, and it is a hard call for anything but a flush (maybe you put him on 45ss? He'll probabably fold that).

But its so much better if you have the As, although still its one of those bluffs you should run only like every 10k hands.
