I have an Inpirion 6000 and I love it. For desktops I'm usually anti-Dell, but for laptops (nongaming) I usually recommend Dells to my friends because of the accidental coverage they have. Most of my friends have kids, or like to party, so being able to replace their lappy for whatever reason is appealing. The main reason I went Dell was I got it during their 50% off promo a few years ago.

If you go Dell I would suggest waiting a month or so....until they start doing their xmas holiday sales. Usually they will have huge coupon discounts available at places like Fatwallet. ($500+ off)

If you are looking at a gaming notebook, I would look at Sager and compare them to Falcon/AW. Sager should be significantly cheaper for the same comp.

I've played on an Inspiron 9400 with Core 2 Duo processor and 1920x1200 Ultrasharp WUXGA screen for more than 6 months now.

It's VERY cool.

I had a Sager. Thing weighed a ton, fan was very noisy and it ran super hot. More a desktop replacement then a legitimate laptop.
With that said though, it ran faster and better then my desktop computer, just wasn't very practical to use for traveling.

lol yeah that sounds like mine. Thats why I bought a Dell laptop when they did the 50% off promo...the Sager stays at home. Any desktop replacement/gaming laptop is going to be pretty much the same though.

Okay this is what I am thinking about purchasing to play online. 6-8 tables of $1/2 NL+ptracker and AIM will be whats usually going on.

Thoughts?
