Default Miniraising with AK ($109)

Stars 109
Blinds 100/200

I have been playing tight and Bond is UTG, he has been playing fairly tight.

Bond's stack: 3200
My stack: 2800

I am UTG+1 with AKs

Preflop: Bond raise to 600, Hero raises to 1200, Bond folds his QQ.

Thoughts?

edit: Bond does not know my screename and does not know that I am a 2p2er

Against thinking players isn't this much better than shoving or calling because they are going to put us on AA or KK only?

uhmmm, not to tip my hand or anything but I've found a small raise to be extremely effective in getting people with better hands than mine to fold....so fold away. :-)

I'd like to see you mini-reraise the majority of your stack away with anything other than KK or AA here. If you do, you're an idiot (or maybe a genius , but I'm going to lean towards idiot)

Yeah I think a good MTT thinking player would def. shove Qs here. Against a donk $5 player its AA or KKs a lot of the time but coming from a MTT reg there is no way i'm laying down Qs, I'm jamming.

Especially considering that I think that my thinking opponent would instafold JJ in this spot when he would definitely have called a push.
