I've found that there are ways to help avoid the crashes. It's a pain, but after an hour I shut down the client and then reload it. Obviously, you have to pick your spots, but you shouldn't lose more than 1 hand. Also, if I have 3 tables going I won't add a table if one goes away, without shutting down again.
