(i am thinking about call or shove)

normaly it would depend on my mood if i shove or call ( i know thats not a reason, but my experience should that it is that way

i have been running into a lot of trips the last days, thats why i am thinking more about these stiuations. If a conservative approach or an aggressive approach gets more value over the long run?

Smallish river bet looks like a value bet from 88. But you're getting almost 5-1 to call. I wouldn't shove here, he's probably not calling worse unless it's A8 or A5.

Was that 8 dollar bet on the turn meant to entice a raise on the turn? because if it was.... then it worked and now it's time to push AI.

i agree with increasing your betting amounts.

as played - call the river - you want to get to a cheap showdown at this point.

That open limp is very odd. With a 15 PFR, I'd have expected him to raise anything he's playing when he's folded to on the button.

If he has a set, I'm more worried about 55 than 88. More likely is A8 or A5. I'm particularly leaning towards A5.
I shove river. Against a better opponent I just call, but this guy looks really bad and will almost certainly call with way worse. I doubt he'll even fold any ace. Villain definitely thinks he has a big hand, but you beat most of the "big" hands he can have.
