Default What did i do wrong?

Did i play this hand wrong.3 players in the hand Im on the small blind and with 6c7c i limp in. flop comes 6h6d2d i check the big blind checks and the button bets about 2/3 the pot at 25/50cent level. So i call. Turn comes 8c i check again he puts out a bet of 2 dollars. I call. River comes 9s. I check. He instantly bets 5 and i call only to be beaten by a straight. I was trying to slow play to get more money but found that was not the right thing to do. What should i have done differently?

rule #1 of microNL... don't slowplay. the people are so bad, they will call you with worse hands. bet this for value entire way and make him incorrectly draw.
