With a re raise that small it always feel like they have a higher PP.

I like preflop, but I push the flop myself.

i play it the same way as OP. I'm not keen on pushing the flop since he's not folding any hands that beat us, and if he's got 99, TT we're getting it AI the flop anyway. Checking induces shoves / small bets from random hands like AQ. I doubt he's checking behind after 3-betting preflop.

I'm shoving pf against lags. I really don't like have to c/f with flops that are not J hi or less. If our read is his min raise pre is an overpair, we shouldn't be getting it all in on the flop (and I think it's too much for set value)... I think this read is poor anyways, lags do stupid [censored] all the time, enough to justify shoving pf.

I certainly push this pf against a LAG with those stacksizes.

I play it the same but open push the flop. I dont mind getting it all in preflop against a LAGG here.

If you open shove the flop he will fold a lot.
Giving him a chance to bet/bluff gets more value I think.

For me, it's precisely because lags do stupid stuff all the time that I don't shove preflop. It's too early to race against AQ, KQ, etc. I'd rather see a J high or less flop first and then push. If villain has QQ+, so be it - I'm stacking off then.

You don't race.
3/5 cards have come.
