I keep hearing this....

But they just don't look like a chair I want to spend hours a day in....

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, why don't you try them out? You might be pleasantly surprised.

Seeing as I'm in West Texas (read: armpit of humanity), where would one go to try one out.

And the price is pretty prohibitive seeing as I need two of these bad boys....

Thanks for all the ideas/suggestions...we shall start looking around/trying them out.

Looking comfortable doesn't really have anything to do with actually feeling comfort and $700 is a small price to pay for the luxury of feeling good after sitting down for long periods of time plus it pays for itself from any extra productivity you can gain.

I was having back aches from sitting down too much and after a week of getting my Aeron, most of those aches and pains had subsided significantly.

GF and I both need new chairs.

And not only is the $700 a [censored] house of money right now to spend on a chair, but I have to be honest, the idea of a full back "executive" type chair seems much more appealing so that I can lean back and be comfy etc.

That said, has anyone used that mouse pad add on thingy they advertise in CardPlayer? Lemme find the link...

DXNet Pro

I don't give two [censored] that JH endorses it...anyone tried it?

I wouldn't recommend one of those, if you're really going to be sitting in it all day. I have one and stopped using it after a week. My neck and shoulders actually burned after sitting in it for two hours. And this was a pretty nice "executive" chair.

They don't look as cool, but what you want is a task chair.
