Re: ($11)TT first hand
I wouldn't call the turn. If it was a blank I'd call.

Re: ($11)TT first hand
I didn't call the turn, but I can't for the life of me assign a range of hands he'd take this line with. In the end, I just decided it was an over eager player who either caught part of this board (hopefully not the two) or had an overpair. The chance of him bluffing with this line was there, but not enough to risk all my chips on the first hand.
At least that was my thinking. |

Re: ($11)TT first hand
I strongly agree with the c-bet, I make them almost all the time (and they work at the levels I play at), plus with a pair on board it's usually a good flop to make a c-bet at. I tend to agree with others who say someone may be getting over-eager/paranoid with AA/KK (which I often do, I'd much rather be allin before the flop!). I also agree with the fold. Either he's a maniac who can't let go of his AK, a total bluff based on your turn check, he's got AA/KK or he's got part of the flop (and it's not the deuce). Methinks it's the latter. Most of those beat you.
I don't think you made any mistakes. |

call preflop for set value good as played, if you folded [/ QUOTE ] I'm not a big fan of open limping TT. It's right there on the fringe, but I prefer raising it, as it can win unimproved vs fewer opponents. I don't think open limping with this hand is wrong, I just don't like doing it. 99 would definitely be an open limp. P.S. If I were in late position facing 3-4 limpers, then I may limp behind with TT. P.P.S. I did fold, though I was very unhappy about it. More so because of villains strange line than anything else. |
