Default Poker on cruises

My wife just got back from a 3 night on Carnival Fascination and there was a single 3-6 table in the cigar lounge. It sounded like a disaster waiting to happen: no security present, bring your own chips from the casino, dealer sounded barely competent, no official wait list, etc. They didn't advertise it at all, but it stayed full except the day in port. Basically one bad beat from a brawl.

So, less than ideal. But, has anyone else seen poker on a cruise outside of "poker cruises"? Was the setup any better?

Default Re: Poker on cruises

Do a search. There have been lots of discussions lately on this "single table of LHE" on non-poker cruises.

Norwegian has a table or two on almost all of their ships, but player beware, the rake is 10% up to $10.

Cruiselines which have casinos managed by Ocean Players Club have LHE here and there. Rake is 10% up to $5.
