Also, One plus about this particular Harrahs location ... you can reserve your seat (and you then pay by Credit Card by registering) in Advance for any event there (they also do this for thier normal events as well BTW), by calling the poker room after 11 AM Eastern (I forget the cut off time), M-F at 800-660-9744, option #1.

In order to register this way, you'll also need to already have a Harrah's reward Players card, and have it ready, before you call.

Cincy, when you reserve your seat in advance by using your Harrah's Player Rewards card, do you also have to give them your credit card info? I ask because I'd like to reserve a seat, but pay in person (in cash rather than credit card).

Also, do you (or anyone) know where would be the best place to stay? Any special offers during the week of the tournament?

Yes, you do (have) give them your credit card to reserve the seat. However, they (your credit card company) won't charge you like a cash advance, it's like a merchandise purchase (at least that's how it's been for me in the past).

As for Casears Indiana, well, they will charge you an arm and a leg for a room, but they are nice rooms (even if the walls are paper thin) overall with nice beds.

I've never known them to offer a poker room rate, like the rest of the Harrahs properties do, but you can always call and ask.

Otherwise, you're only other choice is Downtown Louisville, KY, or New Albany, IN (both about 10 to 12 miles from the casino).

While I've not stayed there myself, I've heard that the Holiday Inn in New Albany is really nice (and the rates are normally under 100 bucks a night).

For myself, I'm a platnium member of Harrahs, so I pretty much get my rooms for free most of the time, and this time I will only pay $69 for all 3 nights because of that factor.

Cincy,

Who do you know there? I'm diamond and was quoted full price for 2 different weekend dates. Caesar's Indiana has always been terrible with comps.

I played one single table sat for 65.00 last year at Caesars IN WSOPc and it sucked. We were given all red chips, were told they represent 100 dollars each and blinds started at 50/50.
We were given only 4 chips each. So after about 5 minutes it was a genuine cluster****.
We were given black chips for change as we played. The black chips were now 50.00, the dealer kept telling us,
"lets keep it straight now, reds are 100 and blacks are 50,
lets keep it straight now"

He only had a few black chips. The 300 + 40 event was playing at the same time all around us. Chip shortage

But in all fairness it really was a madhouse on that first day.

Does anyone have the payout schedule for the Midnight Madness tournament?

I hear they will pay 27 places with 30% to first place if they have 200 players, but what is the rest of the percentages (2nd-27th)?

Thanks

Your best bet, is to go online at:

http://www.harrahs.com

and book it/check pricing there.

You'll need your players card handy, and you'll need to create a password and such, to be able to log in.

Many times you'll get free rooms when you book it that way, where you won't when you book it directly.
