Putting notes on player. What kind of notes?
I'll go short and sweet because there is no need to do a long text for one simple question.
What kind of notes do you all makes on other players playing online poker? You write general things like he smooth calls big pairs or more specific things like he check/raised me with the nuts flush draw? Thnaks in advance and sorry if this topic was already posted ! |

Re: Putting notes on player. What kind of notes?
brilliant advice above thanks, one of the things i look out for is the blind stealer, when a table starts to get shorthanded with big blinds,a lot of players in late position will feel they have to try and steal, they may raise 2xbb or 3xbb with nothing, the diference is if you re raise these players some will call with nothing to see a flop, some will fold, so keep a note of the players who allways call your raise and those who fold, i wont re raise a player who allways calls without having a good hand even if i know he is stealing, but i may re raise a folder with a poor hand if i am in the bb

[/ QUOTE ] I play microlimits, where any type/ability of players is possible, so I often makes notes on player ability (good or bad) or style, for example: Will push hard with 2nd pair/weak kicker or less, but never bluffs postflop, always has a small piece or a draw when he bets. Plays all the way to showdown with nothing but overcards. No clue about pot odds, will price you in every time. Likes to keep betting small. $1 SNG, level one, went all-in with J4s. Very good agressive player, watch out for this guy. ----------------------------- Also, I note when someone at a table has more than max buy-in. If max is $5 and they have $7.42, they probably know what they're doing. I make a note when someone has an unusally large stack. I hope that the above helps. |

[/ QUOTE ] I almost forgot something important. Put the date on your notes! If you have a note that someone will go all-in with garbage, and that note is more than a year old, he could have become a much better player. You might call his all-in with queens and be looking at kings or aces. The older your note is, the more careful you have to be about depending on it. |
