He\'s screwed, right?
So Im working for this guy this summer and I do alot of research and bitchwork. This is a part of my bitchwork.
This guy's son used his credit card two years ago and signed up for a service that bills to his credit card monthly automatically. The son hasn't used the service in a long time, but the payments kept coming cuz he didnt cancel and thought the subscription would stop after years end. The dad saw the billing recently and wants to get refunded from the point where the account was inactive. Has anyone ever dealt with this? He's saying the company should refund because the child used the card and the company should make sure everything is cool each month before they charge. I honestly think he's f*cked, but this is my last resort posting here before I tell him the truth. So has anyone ever dealt with something like this before? beat: this is a part of my job brag: day's almost over variance: only like 10% of people who read this forum have kids and can relate at all also, didnt want to post in OOT cuz NT! would lock in a heartbeat and i kinda would like an answer |

call the cc company if subscription place won't budge .... explain situation
If they get involved the company in question may refund because they want to cooperate with cc company |

Re: He\'s screwed, right?
YEZ! CC company/issuing bank is the best route. Get them on your side (get them to list it as nonvalid charge or whatever their tech term is) and let them do the battle with the service. They hit far harder and bigger than one complaining customer. Not to mention, make the bank earn the crazy feckin interest they charge on their CC.
