Default QJs used to be one of my favorite hands

UTG limper was kind of tight passive ish (20/5/0.8) over about 300 hands. PF raiser was Villain from the other hand I posted and had been opening a lot. I felt the cold-call was OK given how loose the table and raiser were in combo.

float preflop is cool. flop 3-bet is really bad against a 20/5/0.8. I probably just call down, but folding against a guy like that might be better.

He can't have be raising me with any queen? After the cap obviously things are different. I totally don't understand the line between giving too much action and folding too much.

**grunch**

your not worried that a guy with 0.8 af raises (then CAPS you?)
is this guy position aware? ... if so, you're meat

I don't 3bet and fold UI on the turn ... when he caps you I think you can safely fold IMO

don't give action to tight passives when they bet

You fold on the turn after being raised once on the flop with top pair? It's only a few hundered hands.... I am seriously really confused.

if this guy is position aware ... yes (I think it's an important stat to inlcude in your notes ... )

a few hundred hands ... and this guy saw fit to bet 2 of them.
I'm game if this guy is even a little aggro ...

I have not seen him play nearly enough hands to know how position aware he is. I just feel like crap when I fold top pair HU.

check poker tracker ... under 'position stats' tab

ultimately ... a tight passive check/raises me - I don't feel good

If he's that tight-passive he can't have ANY queen. Rock limps UTG with Qx it's AT WORST QJs, and he may not even have that. I manage to have a 20-ish VPIP and I usually fold QJs UTG.

Far more likely villain has 77, 88, KQo, or maybe even AQo given how low his PFR is. Even if you must show down to the flop c/r, after 3betting and getting capped he has a set almost always.
