Default 400NL - Valuebluff after floating?

Villain here is running 19/14/2.5 and seems pretty solid. Preflop is not totally standard, but I like to mix it up in position like the rest of us.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 7 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $400.00
BB: $400.00
UTG: $1,490.50
UTG+1: $364.30
Hero (MP): $421.30
CO: $30.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to $14.00, Hero calls $14.00, 3 folds

Flop: ($34) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG+1 bets $22.00, Hero calls $22.00

Turn: ($78) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $54.00, UTG+1 calls $54.00

River: ($186) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero ?

The flop here is fairly standard. He checks the turn to me, and I stab at the pot as planned. A Q is a huge part of my perceived range here, so I can fold out stuff like T9, TT, JJ, and possibly KK/AA. I occassionally get called by a SD or something too. River is where I'm a little confused. I still think his range is fairly wide, comprised of TT/JJ/KK/AA, maybe some pairs below 88 if he's a thinking player, and some 9x combos. Can anyone find a bet on the river, or do I have enough SD value vs. his range to check it?

just check, usually this is someone either drawing to a straight and they've missed, so arent paying you off, or TT/JJ trying to get busted straights to bluff and get to showdown cheap against a queen. If you had AQ would you not raise the flop?

I definetely would have 3bet preflop, and if I didn't, I prob wouldn't raise the flop. TPGK is more likely to be in my range if I don't raise the flop imo..

Check through the turn after top card pairs. AA/KK definitely aren't folding here and 9x/TT/JJ are doubtful folds too since villain has "top pair". Better hands call, worse fold yadda yadda.

Given that you bet the turn, I think you have to fire a second barrel to get all those weak hands mentioned above a chance to lay down.

I wouldn't bet the turn unless I wanted to fire the river too.

I dont think you have enough fold equity against hands that beat you. I think a lot of players might call you off with literally any hand that beats you figuring that this is too thin a value bet to have without a queen and you might very well not have top pair. You might get a hand you beat to fold.

Theres a few random Q in your percived range. I don't think a worse hand will call, unless you 2 barrel float often, but its definatly a valid bluff.

chance of him folding A9 or better on the turn is 0 and preflop seems very very standard.
