Watchband, metal or leather?
If you are buying a watch, what type of band are you looking for?

Re: Watchband, metal or leather?
It depends on the watch.

Re: Watchband, metal or leather?
It also depends on the use (every day, to work, special occasions, etc.).

Unless you live in an artic climate, metal is the way to go. That is, unless you like your wrist smelling like funk.

Re: Watchband, metal or leather?
I prefer metal bands over any other type band. If you get a decent watch you'll never have trouble with a metal band and you can get it buffed to look like new.
The only alternative to metal bands I like would be a rubber band. I used to have a watch or two with leather bands but I don't like them after a couple months wear. |

I think I'd rather watch a metal band, but I can be suede.

metal is way too overdone. a black or brown watchband in a rich leather tone is classy, unique, sets you apart from the rest.

Depends on the watch and the look you're going for. I own an Omega Seamaster Bond, and I rock it on a NATO strap to make it look even sportier. I'm also a fan of the Hirsch Carbon Fiber straps.
