Default Chris Ferguson Challenge (almost)

I was having some poker burnout so in September I moved all but $1800 off the account I was playing regularly into my wallet and onto some other sites. I proceeded to donk off the $1800 in one 6 hour session in October. This was more or less intentional spewfest.

After the spewfest I had $5 remaining in my account. Additionally, I earned $79 in rakeback while losing my $1800. I received this rakeback on Sunday November 10. In the subsequent 8 days proceeded to run this $84 ($5 left in my account + $79 in rakeback) into more than $10k.

I used some aggressive bankroll management, but didn't do anything too reckless (except for at the very beginning when I bought into a 200NL table for $80). Basically I started out playing $100NL and $200NL and $20 HU sngs. When I got to $1200 I took a shot of $400NL and when I got to $8k I took a shot at $600NL and $1k NL.

Below are the PT screen shot and graph. Not shown are the results from the 50 sngs I entered. Most of the sngs where $20 and $50 HU matches. When I had a decent amount of money I started playing $100 HU, $200 HU and 6-max and $300 6-max sngs. I think I probably broke even on the sngs as I won a lot from $20 and $50 HU, but lost on the bigger tourneys (also my cash winnings match the bankroll). Out of the 7 or so $200+ sngs, I only won one 6-max tourney and didn't have any other cashes.

It took Chris F. a lot longer to get to 10K, but in all fairness he started with nothing and operated with more restrictive bankroll guidelines. The hardest part of his challenge was probably the first $100.

Lucky
