Thanks for replys, was actually a little less harsh than expected.
I found out the insurers dont folk out for my expense.( dont blame them)

but cover damage for victims.

was obv a dumb ass decision on my behalf, but i always look at everything in a good way and think this will help me make better decisions in life, and as far as im concerned, ive been let off lightly.
whatever the outcome.

Heh, I thought they were really harsh on drunk driving in England... Like jail for 1st offense - is that only if you actually hurt someone?

Heh, I thought they were really harsh on drunk driving in Arizona ... Like jail for 1st offense and installation of a interlock device which costs about $1,000

I always feel like I'm missing out on the fun when I see this. Why not just ban the bozos, publicly note it, and leave their droppings as an example to others?

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, ban me for telling a drunk driver to f off.... that'd be reasonable.

I've seen it happen before. Just wait till morning, you'll get several psychos who will tell you that drunk driving shouldn't be a crime unless someone is killed.

Results Orientation FTW.

There are alot of things that can be debated concerning criminal law and criminal proceedings, but anyone who can honestly say driving while drunk isn't irresponsible to the level of criminal is either uneducated or just plain stupid.

Good on you, HERE_2_Gamble!

Sounds like you learned your lesson, fortunately there seem to be only economic consequences, this time.
