dont mean to sidetrack this thread. but does anyone know if bodog or any other internet gambling site has any legal recourse if you refuse to pay them funds that you owe legitimitly?

Yeah, I'm afraid that is the bottom of it. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with them while they initially investigated, then told me they'd get back to me when they reached a decision, and that was it. I've got an advocacy website contacting them on my behalf now--he's been very good at greasing the wheels in the past.

I wouldn't be too pissed, Beavis, except I have more than $225 in pending wagers (crockpot's MLB futures), so while I could give them a good "F--- you" and just write off the "debt," I definitely have more than $225 in equity in those wagers, so unless I get a decision changed the debt will be "paid."

What angers me the most is that they can say "unauthorized activity counts" when I lose money, but when someone makes an unauthorized deposit they're like "Woah! That's not yours, we're taking it back!" even though it wasn't a chargeback on the card AFAIK, they said "we took it away because you said it wasn't yours." Shouldn't they have checked the name on the credit card in the first place?

I need some help with a cashout on another site. Would you be willing to either post the name of the advocacy site here or pm it?

How do you think you were Hacked? Did you Login while on vacation? E-mail?

Guys on another forum think that some account info got leaked/stolen when Bodog absorbed some of the other sportsbooks. People observed similar things after other sportsbook mergers/bailouts.

I never logged on through any other computer besides my own (security confirmed this, the new logon was the first besides my 2 at home and 1 at school), and I keep my passwords protected, so that must be it.

holy crap, this is ridiculous. u lock ur end up tight, they mess up and dump it on you. security on their side sux, u bite the bullet. this is completely UNACCEPTABLE. i would seriously rally around this fact and do what you can on this and other forums.

Rumors like this have a way of starting regardless of whether they are true. Bodog has bought an awful lot of accounts so it's hardly surprising if a few of them were eventually hacked by coincidence. It certainly may be true but some skepticism is in order.

Did your Bodog account originate at another site? When? How was the transfer handled? When was the last time your password was created or changed?
