I have never seen this done as a bluff, but I rarely see river overbets like this at all (besides mine and standard zeebo situations) and I see them shown down even less often.

k but what is the action if your gut at that moment tells you it's not 56 ?

Still fold, he can easily have a set or two pair. Idiots slowplay here all the time. he probably figures you for an ace that doesn't fold.

his range is soooo much wider than 65 and bluffs. if he doesnt have 65 i seriously doubt he even sees the straight getting there.

i mean there is so much information lacking in your OP for anyone who was not at the table to even consider this call.

have you seen him fastplay his sets/two pair, slowplay them?
what about when he is drawing?
have you seen him bluff the rvier before, how much did he bet?

without any of this information known and pointing in your favor, you should fold.

also as a sidenote i think you get more value betting this river then trying to induce a bluff against a typical player with those stats.

I really thought his stats supported the opposite of this (river AF + WTSD) , could you or anyone else elaborate?

well i was going on his preflop stats.

River AF and WTSD% can get skewed pretty easily are pretty worthless without a lot of hands. so if you have enough hands to feel confident in those numbers than you would be right in a c/c

but most 40/3ish type players i have had the pleasure of playing dont bluff missed draws enough (especially on an Ace hi board that you have shown strength on. of course thats only if he is even bothering to think about what you might have) to make up for the times they check behind a weak hand that they would have called a river bet with.
