Crazy spot on the turn - 44

I wanted to ask for your guys' input on this hand. Villain is 18/16/3 over 140 hands. He seems like a 2p2, at least not a fish. Now what would you do in my spot holding the 4's? Would you have checked the turn as well and maybe have the hand get to showdown as it may be good there? |

Re: Crazy spot on the turn - 44
I'm not betting the turn, nor am I calling his raise. Once he calls your flop bet, I'm about done with the hand. There are better spots to make money than this.

Re: Crazy spot on the turn - 44
I called his bet... he was the original bettor and he had a high CB%. I was actually planning on floating on this hand, and it worked until he came back over the top of me. But honestly, his line made no sense. Is this strength? or a bluff?

Re: Crazy spot on the turn - 44
check behind on turn (pot control) you have a weak hand that could be best at showdown why bloat the pot on turn? You then could have called a bet/bluff on river to get to showdown.
As played fold. |

Re: Crazy spot on the turn - 44
Doesn't anyone else think this might be a bluff? Especially since he checked the turn after he bet the flop...

Re: Crazy spot on the turn - 44
Sorry, I misread the action. Still, I'm probably folding to the c-bet. I still believe there are better spots to make money than a villain who is 18/16/3 over that large a size. If he has a c-bet % and you think he has air, I would raise his c-bet here, not flat call.

Re: Crazy spot on the turn - 44
i never fold to his flop cbet
i might check the turn, i might bet the turn, our hand might be best and we have to protect therefore betting is ok now, since he raised us, it's time to fold nice hand imo oh and his raise is not a bluff, it's called stack-a-donk (isnt it?) and we have to fold. |

generally fold flop but your line is ok once in a while as long as you folded turn [/ QUOTE ] why would you fold the flop? give me an good explanation? and it should be standard to call or raise his cbet, our hand is most likely to be best here. |
