I'll give you action on memorizing it with the words in reverse order but the lines in correct order or other silliness like that. It's much much much much harder when you can't get easy meaning from it.

[ QUOTE ]
Once upon a midnight dreary,
While I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore

While I nodded nearly napping,
Suddenly there came a tapping
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
Tis some visitor I muttered, tapping at my chamber door. Only this, and nothing more.

Ah distinctly I remember,
It was in the bleak December
And each separate dying ember, wrought its ghost upon the floor.

Eagerly I wished the morrow
Vainly I had sought to borrow, from my books
Surcease of sorrow, sorrow for the lost Lenore.

For the rare and radiant maiden who the angels named Lenore,
Nameless here for evermore.

[/ QUOTE ]

Pretty close: FYPs in bold. Now try reading it out loud from memory, perfectly, without a glitch on the first try. Part of the difficulty (and I admit it's not nearly as hard as I first thought) is articulating it perfectly on the fly.
