Somewhat pertinent short story:

I was staying at TI during August of this year and was in a juicy n/l game. The biggest donator was drinking, when he requested a shot of Patron the waitress told him she could not bring it. After seeing the disappointed look on his face I told him to hold on. I went to the TI VIP room, poured two shots of Patron and brought it to the table for him. He was now a happy camper and I got paid off by him on several future value bets on the river.

VIP room? Never heard of it. Where/what is it?

If you have to ask, you aren't.

Untrue. Being a smaller hotel doesn't necessarily mean you won't get quality booze for free. All you have to do is ask. If she doesn't know for sure, give her an alternate in case they don't have it(or won't give it for free).

All I said was:

"the nicer the place, the more likely they are to have better selection"

and I stand behind that statement. That doesn't mean you won't find some cheaper hotels with good selection.

Ehh, also:

Venetian, Wynn, and Bellagio are the only places to get higher end stuff like Grey Goose, Ketel One, Patron, etc.

Oh ok...I could be wrong then. But I've never seen Grey Goose, for example, served at any casino except those 3.

What is this and do all casinos have one? I assume something like 1000 hours in a year to get it??

At Harrah's it's The Diamond Lounge (and at Caesars they even have a 7-Stars Lounge). You will not be getting in from poker play.

Harrah's Diamond membership requires putting $100,000 into a VP machine, or $50,000 into a slot in a year (every year). They also log your time and play at BJ and craps and such and will give you appropriate credit so you can also get in being a table gamer. But for poker? Nothing at all.

No idea what MGM-Mirage does. I'd guess their threshold is higher.

Wynn has some decent single malts if you like those. I usually sip Glenlivet 12 while playing.

Any other experiences with getting topshelf bourbons and scotchs at the Wynn? I was hoping for some Woodford Reserve next week...

It is the VIP services room to the left of the main lobby checkin area you will see some gold doors with frosted glass if I remember correctly. Another poster is correct, it is not from playing poker, I play craps at a fairly high level and get full RFB+ at all MGM properties.
