You don't understand the value of double pairs in Omaha. At a full table I'll take QQJJ over AA95 any day.

there´s "AAxx" and AAxx, right? [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] AAxx can be pretty crappy if it´s not suited and with sidecards like 48 or sth. QQJJ isn´t even a monster in omaha hi, let alone hi/lo. i´d prefer sth like JT98ds all day long ...

bottom line: negreanu is nowhere near as competent in most games as he thinks he is. it´s really annoying to hear him talk how the tournament buy-ins should be much higher to make this a "pro only" thing when it´s obvious that most of his +ev comes from random amateur donks.

QQJJ double suited is a way above average O8 hand. But more important in this situation, you're not playing against your Aunt Millie and her sewing circle where you just sit and wait to make the nuts.
