Do you know if Dispatch is sold out? I might go into the city this weekend for Dispatch and a Mets game, that sounds like a great idea.

Also I would have gone for the cheapest upper deck tickets, some great views up there... but alas, my advice comes a little too late.

also I am pretty sure you can drink beer on the LIRR, someone confirm?

They sell beer in little carts right outside the entrance to the trains at grand central. They're both run by the MTA, so I'd assume you can drink on both.

I love the bohemia, but went earlier this spring and there was a line out to LI to get in. has it been more crowded this year or was that just a fluke?

Take the subway to shea, not the LIRR. The 7 train leaves from 42nd street, follow all the Mets fans, you can't miss it

Very true, you can't get anywhere near a table on friday and saturday nights anymore. It's no problem, just gives me an excuse to start drinking at 3. . .

I went on a Saturday about a month ago. I got there before my friends that I was meeting. I got in fine, but the place was crowded to [censored]. Not a single table to be had. When my friends got there, they were the first people denied entry, so they started the line. I stood inside by myself for around 45 minutes before they finally let them in... I think if you go at noon, grab a table and make a day of it, that's the best bet...
