300NL $3/$5 Blinds 9 handed

Villain has me covered and is sitting to my right

Villain knows that I bluffed him on a hand where i raised him on the flop of A83 rainbow. He limped UTG i raised to $25 with JJ get another caller. He bets $35 i raise $115 more he announces he has AJ and folds and explains that i was representing a bigger hand than his. A couple of guy to my left both claimed to have an ace and told him that he just got bluffed. He told me nh, i said ty.

On to the hand:

FLOP:Td7s3c
I bet $85, folds to UTG who calls.

I fold given the information.
Villain made the previous laydown and is likely to be a tighter player and not a maniac. The board is so connected he can easily show up with 2pr plus. I doubt he plays a hand such as AT this way. T8 is another strong possiblity

I feel like if he wanted to play for stacks with AT he would check raise on the flop. Pushing for an overbet on the turn like this with AT seems kind of crazy, he cant really expect to be called by worse, and he won't expect to fold out better hands. If he c/r like this on the turn I think AT would be more likely.

so ur saying if he c/r the turn then im calling AI? I think that play merits a stronger hand than AT..and the bet on the turn is super forceful i don't think he expects worse hands to call but instead fold out better hands..what do others think?

lol wtf @ his line? Uh...did he have 78, T8, JTdd...? I'd say there's way too many pair+draw and combodraws to make this a fold, an dur gettin wut like 1.5:1 odds? I'm too lazy to figure size of the pot. Considering a lot of his range is pair+draw and combodraws and getting 1.5:1 odds, this is probably slightly EV call; folding to this massive overbet isn't terrible tho.

this is closer than you think IMO... live poker...

My Q is, is $25 the standard raise size? Have you been doing that with other crap besides big pairs? The crux of your decision is whether he puts you on an overpair.

If that is a standard raise size like it should be, then I think we're stronger than villain thinks, and he expects us to fold to his T8 or some crap.

I guess my main point is no live regular expects to see anyone fold overpairs ever, because live poker players do not do such a thing. If he puts you on one, then he's getting value, but if he doesn't, he's bluffing and you should call.
